How it works.
GPS Photo Tag saves location information (latitude, longitude and timestamp) in a sqlite database and lets you add a text label describing the place you are in.
When you arrive home and download your pictures and locations in your laptop you can use the free desktop application (Mac OS only) to match and add locations to your pictures. The matching is done using the timestamp saved on your phone and the date in your pictures. So make sure both your iPhone and digital camera have the correct date and time.

You can export your locations as GPX or KML files so you can use your data with any software capable of reading these types of files. KMLs can be used in Google Earth to generate paths of from your travel. Use it while you jog to measure your distance afterwards.
